| Yes, typical Rachel, I write about how I like the add book feature and then forget to add the actual book. | | |
| I usually only write here when I am reading a good book because facebook doesn't have a currently reading thing. So I am reading this book. While not all that interesting, it does have several good points. I am also writing on this because I have an hour to kill. That is all! | | |
| I've decided to post. Maria drove to school today, and the trip was much improved over yesterday's. She's just gone off to her computer class, but I have another 2 hours until my lab starts, so I'm posting here and then doing a bit of homework and maybe my online quiz. New things in my life, exciting happenings that would interest other people...ummm....I got a facebook? Exciting to me, at least, because I found about seven cousins on it, and some people I haven't talked to in, well, years. So that is cool. I've got a busy weekend planned; sleepover w/Brianna and hopefully some good long chats, and we'll give her her (month overdue) brithday gift. And then on Sat, we have Joel and Brian's brithday party to put on...a dozzen or so little kids. I am doing the cake; it'll be a pirate's head with a gold coin in the ear to be an earring. We have this cool "cake book" we've had since we were little. We always went through it at birthdays..my dad once made a bunny cake for Easter. | | |
| My validation is coming up. It is at 12:40 p.m. Which is too bad because I told Maria I'd be done by 11:40. But I just looked now at the schedule, and it says 12:40 for sutend E, which is me. I am proving to the teachers that I can perform proper hand hygiene (wash them), put on sterile gloves, put on a gown, mask, goggles, glvoe corrects, and change a simple dressing. It all seems so easy that I am bound to forget something. Surprised Maria for her birthday--took her bowling. Dad says he's never seen anything worse than our form. We do seem to have rather low scores..... I've got medical term exam on Thurs, Pharmacology exam Wed, and Adult Heatlh Nursing exam Mon, so I am busy. In fact, I'd better go print out my now neatly typed notes. | | |
| Yeah, I plan to post again. I've been busy.....
Maria and I decided to update the kids' Creative Memory albums. We did the pictures from 2004 to the printouts from Montana. Also, I've been picking (and canning) the few beans our garden has managed to produce. I canned forty pints of tomatoe sauce, and yesterday, twenty pints of tomatoes. Not to mention I've been trying to squeeze every drop of summer from the few days of freedom left. Went to Six Flags the other day w/Kim Verhagen, Kanchurins and Nathanial, Ben and Andrew (and Maria). Hours of driving..really expensive....but I'm glad I did it. Maria and I wanted to go because we realized we'll be in Michigan with my parents in future summers, and this might have been our last opportunity to go. I have cleaned my room (twice). I've also reorganized my closet. It starts off with dresses, which go from black to white, and then skirts, then sweaters, three quarter length shirts, T-shirts, and finally, camis, all organized by color. This is convienint when one is looking for one's clothes. I've also been reading everything that I wanted to read this summer, and several books that I didn't know about before, but turned out to be really good. We've roasted marshmellows with the kids after dinner quite a bit lately, and I've been stocking the freezer with meals for us to pull out when I'm at school and Mom has taken Buzzo to Horse. I'm also studying for the Nurse's Math Exam, which I take the first day of school, August 30.
The chillens are sooo cute! They were playing pirates the other day, and so they were making blanket forts. Then they came to me and asked me to make them look like pirates. Joel and Bri got eyepatches, and everbody got "scars" and "tattoes" by washable markers. Of course, this means more scrapbooking...
THE spider has been killed. It bit Maria when she tried to kill it. Mom discovered it lurking behind the toilet this afternoon and killed it. I can now enter my bathroom without fear. I have the date to get my braces off! December 18! Vonderba!!!! | | |
